My Thoughts
This is a fantastically well written story of Ellie and Jo. We start in the present day with both women and then it time hops between Ellie’s harrowing past and Jo in the present day. But how are these two women’s stories connected?
This book was not what I was expecting at all, I thought it was going to be a run of the mill whodunit, but there is so much more to this heartbreaking story.
The story tackles a whole load of important issues such as, PTSD, emotional abuse, childhood trauma, homelessness and the long term effect these can have on a person.
This is the first book I have read by Jane Corry but will be sure to read more of her work in the future.
