Review

⭐️⭐️⭐️

B.P Walter’s second book, Hold Your Breath is told from the perspective of Kitty (Katherine) in the present and also in 1987 as a 10 year old girl whose life had been uprooted from her life in Essex to a remote cottage in Newcastle. The story flows seamlessly between the timelines and is easy to follow.

I really enjoyed this book for the most part it was dark and harrowing and had all the makings for a fantastic thriller, but towards the end (maybe the last 10%) it really lost its edge and really ended up falling flat and feeling unfinished.

I did enjoy the overall writing style of B. P Walter and did read his debut novel off the back of this and would read more from him in the future.

Thank you to #netgalley#avonbooksuk and B.P Walter for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
